Taking place on Saturday 23 November, the Impi Sportswear Kids Dash offers our young runners the opportunity to experience the excitement of race day, whilst enjoying the outdoors and the friendly event atmosphere.
Parents, family and friends are invited to cheer along our little stars in either the 3km or 1.5km events taking place on this spectator friendly course.
Both events will take place on the Oceanway Pathway in Coolangatta.
EVENT DAY INFO
The Impi Sportswear Kids Dash course will take place on the Oceanway Pathway in Coolangatta. The Impi Sportswear Kids Dash course will start and finish at the start line based within Queen Elizabeth Park, with runners heading south along the pathway to Greenmount and return. Our little stars will complete a lap of honour on their return around Queen Elizabeth Park before bringing it home down the finish chute.
Runners in the 3km event will complete two laps. Lead and Trail Bikes will be in place for runner safety along with drink station at the lap point & finish line.
The Impi Sportswear Kids Dash is part of our Twilight Festival of events and will commence at 3:30pm. Our 1.5km runners will start first at 3:30pm, followed by the 3km at 3:45pm. Full list of start times can be viewed below within the Saturday Event Schedule.
All Impi Sportswear Kids Dash runners will receive the following:
- Impi Sportswear Kids Dash finisher medal
- Impi Sportswear Kids Dash race bib (with electronic chip timing)
- Post race snacks and drinks from the recovery zone
Parents & guardians may run alongside their children during the event. Children under 5 should be accompanied by an adult during their participation.
Parents & guardians are not required to register as a participant if they plan to run alongside their child – only register the child.
- 3km – minimum age is 7 (max age is 15)
- 1.5km – no minimum age – however under 5’s must be supervised by an adult (adult is not required to register for the event).
