We are delighted to announce that the fisiocrem GC50 has been chosen to once again host the 50km National Championships. We look forward to working closely with AURA (Australian Ultra Runners Association) to deliver a National Championships to remember and can’t wait to welcome a national field to the beautiful Gold Coast this December.

The 50km event will operate in the usual way and we welcome participants of all fitness abilities and backgrounds to enjoy this distance.

There is no eligibility requirement (other than minimum age) to participate in this event. However to be eligible to be recognised (or win) the National 50km Championship you must be an Australian resident.

Eligible runners, who are Australian residents, do not include visitors to Australia on work permits, student visas, or visitor visas.

Being a member of AURA (Australian Ultra Runners Association) is not a requirement to be eligible for the 50km National Championships.

There are however a number of benefits in becoming a member should you wish to. You can view the benefits and join here.

50km National Championship presentations will take place on Sunday 4 December at 10:30am.

All participants that register in the normal way for the 50km distance that meet the eligibility criteria will be automatically entered into the National Championships. There is nothing additional that you are required to do.

The 50KM National Championships are an open category with top 3 male and female recognised. There are however age-group records that can be claimed. You can view the current AURA records here.
