Bus routes 700, 760 and 768 offer frequent services into Coolangatta across the weekend. The nearest bus stops for Queen Elizabeth Park are ‘Queen Elizabeth Park’ on McLean St and ‘Coolangatta Central’ located on Griffith Street.

Please note, a temporary bus stop will be in operation for Coolangatta on Sunday 11 October due to road closures – this will be located on Lanham St.  At just $0.50c, the 700 service provides a great option for travelling from Broadbeach to Coolangatta on race morning.

Local taxi providers and Ride-share services like Uber provide a hassle free way of travelling to and from the event, avoiding the requirement to park your vehicle.

A drop off and pick up location is Chalk Street – a short 300m stroll to the Event Precinct.

If you’re visiting from interstate and fly into the Gold Coast, the airport is conveniently located just minutes from the heart of Coolangatta.

Arriving at the Gold Coast Airport, a centrally located information desk offers assistance with any ongoing transport options you may require including transfers, shuttles, car hire and taxis/ride share.

For an affordable and convenient way of getting into Coolangatta, the local bus service (760 route) departs frequently and takes approximately 15 minutes to reach central Coolangatta. There are also taxis available from outside the terminal that will take you directly to your accommodation.

Avoid the traffic in Coolangatta by taking advantage of our free Park & Ride service from Southern Cross University on Sunday 11 October.

A complimentary shuttle bus will operate every 10 minutes, transporting participants and spectators from Southern Cross University to Miles Street, Kirra. From there, it’s just a 350m walk around Kirra Headland to the GC50 Run Festival start and finish precinct.

Available on Sunday 11 October only. Shuttle buses will operate in both directions from 4:00am to 10:00am.

Southern Cross University Car Park is located 2km walking (or jogging) distance to the start line. The walking route is highlighted on the transport map via the yellow dashed line and will be signed-posted on the day.

Event Parking is available within Tweed Mall on Sunday 11 October (open from 3:00am onwards). Attendees using this car park, should enter the multi-story car park, located on Bay Street. 

The Event Precinct is a short 1.2km walk, or jog from Tweed Mall. 

Dedicated Event Parking is available on Jarvis Lane (Goodwin Park), Coolangatta on Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October. Parking here is limited and available on a first come-first served basis.

Jarvis Lane is just a 600m walk to the Event Precinct.

Please note, a $10 parking fee is applicable to park in this location.

Dedicated bicycle parking facilities will be located south of Coolangatta SLSC (50m from the start lines). To use these, simply bring your bike lock.

If cycling all the way from home is too far, why not create your own ‘Drive and Ride’. Parking your vehicle in a nearby suburb like Tugun, or Bilinga and riding from their to and from the start line to avoid traffic.

There are various public parking options that provide easy walking access to the Event Precinct, however please note public parking is limited and we strongly recommend car pooling, or using public transport wherever possible.

Please respect the local community when parking and do no obstruct driveways or park on private property.

Chalk and Lanham Street Car Park, Boundary Street, The Strand Shopping Centre (Accessible only on Saturday), Wharf St (Tweed), Kirra Beach (Accessible only on Saturday).

A number of Lime E-Bikes will available for hire throughout the event parking & local areas.

A dedicated Lime E-Bike parking area will be available next to the main bicycle parking area, located south of Coolangatta SLSC.

Download the Lime App ahead of the event to locate the closest Lime E-Bike to you. Scan the QR code on the bike and follow the simple steps to unlock the bike and cycle to the fisiocrem GC50. More info on Lime E-Bikes locations will be available closer to the event.
