Run, jog or walk with us as the sun sets on Saturday 10 October in the Southern Cross University Community 5km. This fast, flat and friendly course is ideal for beginners or those chasing a PB! The fun is just beginning when you cross the finish line to live music, food trucks and a beer garden to celebrate your achievements. This is your end of year celebration of running!

THE COURSE
Our 5km course starts and finishes from Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta and follows the stunning Oceanway north to Kirra, before returning south to Coolangatta.
This is a completely flat, out and back course that rewards runners with some of the best ocean views around as the sun sets over the jaw-dropping Southern Gold Coast.
Upon returning to Coolangatta, experience the crowds cheering you home as you head straight into the epic finish line within Queen Elizabeth Park – where the party is just getting started.

START LINE PROCESS
Wave starts will not be implemented for the Southern Cross University Community 5km. For this event, we invite participants to self-seed with faster runners invited to the front and slower runners and walkers asked to seed towards the back of the start pen.
DRINK STATIONS
A drink station will be positioned at at the half way point on the 5km course, providing cupped water. We’ll have drinks on ice and snacks for you at the finish line in our recovery marquee.
