Here at the GC50 we want you to be as best prepared for your run this December. We’ll be working with a number of local coaches to bring you some tips & tricks that will help you in your preparation for this year’s event. This year, ALL participants will be able to take advantage of a FREE subscription to Run Down Under – the perfect tool to track your training & keep you motivated for this year’s event. The following 3 unique maps will track your running (virtually) to the start line of this year’s event:

🗺️Map 1 is a 1,000km journey from Clairview, North QLD to Broadbeach designed for those participating in the 50km event.

🗺️Map 2 is a 860km journey from Sydney to Broadbeach designed for those participating in the 50km and 30km events.

🗺️Map 3 is 590km journey from St George in QLD’s west to Broadbeach and is designed for the 30km and 15km events.

The training plans below will guide you through each journey.

How do I get started?

  2. Select your training journey, register your details and you’re away.

We have teamed up with Run Central Gold Coast Head Coach, Steve Jackson to bring you 3 training plans for this year’s GC50 Run Festival. The Run Down Under maps have been built to match these training plans – so be sure to use both tools together!

For further information around training for this year’s events you can contact Steve at [email protected] or join him running at a Run Central GC Training Session soon! Steve will also be leading our GC50 Run Club – A 6 week run club for everyone that will be kicking off on November 1st.

This year we will hold 2 sessions a week during the run club block, with one in Burleigh (Thursday’s) and one in Broadbeach (Tuesday’s). Further info coming soon!

The GC50 Run Festival and Run Central Gold Coast are pleased to bring you the GC50 Run Club!

The GC50 Run Club is a FREE training group to help prepare you for the GC50 Run Festival – The sessions are inclusive and we welcome runners’ of all abilities.

You can join us in Burleigh on Thursdays or Kurrawa on Tuesdays. (or both!)

The hour (ish) long sessions will be lead by the coaches of Run Central GC including Steve Jackson – who will also be the GC50 Run Festival Course Manager this year. Check out our Facebook events for up to date run club information. Hope to see you there!
