We’re delighted to offer a run festival utilising the beautiful pathways of the Gold Coast beachfront, home of the world’s most attractive beaches. Our new home in Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta will play host to the 2020 start and finish line.

This year, we’re inviting you to make a weekend of it in Coolangatta with our 5km & Kids Dash taking place on Saturday afternoon, followed by the 15km, 30km and 50km events, as well as the 2 x 25km relay taking place on Sunday.
The 2020 Athlete Handbook will be available here nearer to the event date. All registered participants will also receive a copy via email as soon as it becomes available.
Race Pack Postage
At point of entry you can opt to have your race pack and singlet posted to you for a fee of $9.95.
Please note: There is strictly no race pack collection on Sunday 6th December race morning, therefore we recommend postage if you are unable to make Saturday.

Athletes who enter before midnight Tuesday 27th October 2020 are eligible for the postage service. Athletes who enter after this date will need to collect their race bibs and singlets at race registration on Saturday 5th December.
Race Check-in/Registration is available on Saturday 5th December only.

Registration will be located within Queen Elizabeth Park, Marine Parade, Coolangatta. (Opposite 60 Marine Parade).
Please note: If you have had your race pack posted you are only required to attend registration if you wish to change your distance. Please bring your old race number with you to registration where you will be given a new race number to wear during the event.
Can someone collect my Race Bib on my behalf?
We recommend that you collect your own Race Bib. If you need someone to collect your Race Bib on your behalf, they are required to provide us with a copy of your Confirmation Email.
Can someone else run with my Race Bib?
Massive no– we are required for safety purposes to hold on file medical information and emergency contact details for every runner. If you wish to transfer your entry please contact us via email or see us at registration.
I’ve lost my Race Bib.
If you have lost your Race Bib or it did not arrive due to an incorrect address, you will be required to purchase a replacement Race Bib at registration. The cost of a new Race Bib is $10.00.
Early-bird pricing is listed below. The Early-bird pricing period ends at Midnight, Tuesday July 14.

Participants that register before midnight on Thursday July 30 are able to choose between a GC50 singlet or T-Shirt, included with their entry.
Participants that enter after this date, but before midnight October 15 will receive a singlet. Please note that 2020 designs are yet to be confirmed.
Singlet Cut Off – Be sure to register before the midnight October 15 to secure your 2020 singlet. This is the cut-off date for inclusion with your entry.
T-shirts and singlets will be issued when receiving your race bib (either by post or in person at the event).
Please note: Kids Dash participants do not receive a singlet or t-shirt.
Cancellation by You
The GC50 Run Festival operates a no-refund policy. My registration however can be transferred as a credit to the 2021 GC50 Run Festival if I request this in writing before midnight Friday 20th November 2020, subject to a $10 admin fee.
My registration may also be transferred to another runner if I request this in writing before midnight Friday 20th November 2020, subject to a $10 admin fee. Distance changes can be made after this point by emailing [email protected]
Changes to race entries will not be permitted after Friday 20th November 2020.
Should the event be postponed my registration will be automatically transferred to the re-scheduled event date where the following refund policy will apply:
I will be entitled to a refund of my registration (less payment processing fees) if I request this in writing within 72 hours of being notified of the postponement. Should I not request a refund during this 72-hour period my registration will revert back to being non-refundable.
Should a new date not be possible for the event to occur, my entry will be transferred into the December 2021 event and the above cancellation procedures regarding refunds will apply.
Minimum Ages (at time of the event):
- 50km – minimum age is 18
- 30km – minimum age is 16
- 15km – minimum age is 14
- 5km – runners under 12 must be accompanied by a parent
- 3km – minimum age is 7
- 1.5km – no minimum age – however under 5’s must be supervised by an adult.
- 2 person x 25km relay – minimum age is 16

The 50km, 30km, 15km and 2 x 25km relay events will be held on Sunday 6th December from 5.30am.
This is one of a handful of officially accredited AIMS-IAAF certified 50 km road races in Australia. The 50km race carries an IAU label which means that performances are included in the world rankings.
